You can also set up Shorewall accounting rules
(http://shorewall.net/Accounting.html) to count packets and Bytes then
use something like MRTG to calculate byte rates. You have to manually
set up each address though and you cannot use MAC addresses (which is
what I *think* you mean by "arp") since Netfilter only supports
qualification of rules by SOURCE MAC address and you are probably
interested in download traffic rather than upload.
