It might be possible that the 'configure' script is just going off of cached values from a previous run - hence the '(cached)' - possibly before you installed the libxml rpms. Try doing a 'make clean' or 'make distclean' and re-run configure and see if that helps. Also, I noticed that configure is not finding gnome-xml/parser.h. Maybe the libxml2 rpms you installed did not provide that file? Maybe going to http://rpmfind.net and searching for '/usr/include/gnome-xml/parser.h' will show you an additional rpm you might need to install. On my RH7.0 system, that file is provided by libxml-devel-1.8.9-5. > And when i compile iceIt shows that libxml is detected, which means that it found the headers and the libs. Now, when you compile it, you should see it have -lxml or something similar. I don't see why you wouldn't have xml support if it's finding the libs just fine :) I dont' think it's possible to compile ices without libxml. And if it is, I'd say that was a bug. jack. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. I guess for people using ices as if it were shout this is fine... -b --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. I am serving an ogg vorbis stream using icecast2 and ices2 from cvs and using the ogg and vorbis RC2 libraries. I can connect to the stream using xmms from any machine on my home network, but others can't seem to connect using multiple other decoders from outside of my network. Both the icecast access.log and the decoders show that others are connecting but the stream does not seem to be working. Could someone from this list try the stream as well? The stream is: http://66.149.8.8:8000/example1.ogg -Jim --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
