Hello all, I am using SPEEX for an aplication in GNUradio, and i need to use the compression ratio to be able to handle the number of inputs/number of ouputs ratio. I am using 8khz sampling rate, quality of 8 (15kbps). How can i calculate the compression ratio, is it fixed when i use the fixed data rate? I want to use fixed and get the optimum compression ratio. Can you please suggest me? thanks! best regards kshama
Uncompressed audio at 8 kHz is 128 kbps. Divide by the compressed rate and you get the compression ratio.
