Hi all!
Over the last days, several people have expressed me their interest in
becoming members of the KDE Packaging Team:
- Pierre Habouzit (''MadCoder'' on irc)
- Isaac Clerencia (''isaac'')
- Ricardo Javier Cardenes Medina (''Heimy'')
[rcardenes@debian.org]
isaac and MadCoder have requested being added to the pkg-kde project
on Alioth (both of them completed NM and are in DAM-wait mode now).
All three of them are already on this list. If any of you feels like
sending mail talking a bit about you and your interests, it''d be
nice,
I think.

We''ll certainly need some talk about how we''ll coordinate,
and
probably some explanation to the new people about how the packaging
works ([1] is recommended reading, though).

Most likely, this will have to happen after holidays, since some of us
are leaving in the next days.

Riku, I''ve mailed people about #debian-qt-kde. We still have to
figure
out what to do with this list. In fact, we still have to figure out
quite a few things.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!

I will be four days away now, but I''ll be available=20 afterwards and I''ll try to understand how KDE packages work just now in=20 Debian. As a little introduction to myself, my name is Isaac Clerencia, as dato said=20 I''m in "DAM-wait mode" since eight months ago, and currently maintain 11=20 Debian packages[0]. I also contribute to the Wesnoth project[1] and I''m the current Wesnoth=20 release manager. I''ve been using Debian for three years and KDE for a year and a half. I like=20 KDE specially from a developer perspective, although the user experience is=20 also great. I''m Spanish and my English is not as good as I would like ;) Best regards [0]=20 http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=3Disaac%40sindominio.net&comaint=3Dyes [1] http://www.wesnoth.org --nextPart4741431.yzfcHkPzfe Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBByn8JQET2GFTmct4RAhjBAJ9EQEXkZOE9+cEYu7bpePQra5yRAACfVgUI DXAMZckNmGfOGqSLW1x2YuY=5WtR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart4741431.yzfcHkPzfe--

I use debian since sept 2001, and linux since jan 2000. and I''m a kde=20 big fan since that time (as a programmer and a user). I''m the current release manager and packager of akregator (rss=20 aggregator) and the packager for flyspray (a bug tracker in PHP i use=20 for other projects of mine). I''m french, live near Paris. I''ll be off the next 4 days, and for the 31th-1st WE but should be=20 reliable after that. =2D-=20 Pierre Habouzit http://www.madism.org/ =2D=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D--=3D=3D- gpg : 1024D/A1EE761C 6045 409E 5CB5 2CEA 3E70 F17E C41E 995C C98C 90BE=20 spam: mad.junk@madism.org --nextPart1397154.Dhfxk0KHeS Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBByq30vGr7W6HudhwRAiMdAJ9zcZ6HpdNl3Tm084f6n4D+qgFnvwCdGrWn TqPdtbSI4DnOx83YD+3NM78=DD1l -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1397154.Dhfxk0KHeS--

Although I know a bunch of languages, I''m right now a convinced Pythonista and maintain mainly Python-related packages, among them PyQt and PyKDE (and related stuff). I''ve also been sponsoring lately some packages built on Qt, such as Gambas and qucs. I''ve been interested on Qt and KDE since the former went GPL-ized and I''d like to contribute to their good health on Debian. I''m afraid I don''t have a lot of available time, but I depend on them to be in good shape, so I''ll try to make an effort. Regards, Ricardo
