[CentOS] Duplicate *.desktop entries for GNOME in /usr/share/applications
Hi, Today I noticed something strange. There seem to be a series of duplicate desktop menu entries in /usr/share/applications. Example: gedit.desktop and org.gnome.gedit.desktop Other example: nautilus.desktop and org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop This is annoying, since I usually edit some custom menu entries for my users. Now, if I edit both files for a single application, I end up with duplicate menu entries. Any suggestions? [CentOS] Duplicate *.desktop entries for GNOME in /usr/share/applications

I just edited the org.gnome.something.desktop files and then put a single NoDisplay=true option in the corresponding something.desktop file. Works perfectly.
