[Eventmachine-talk] Windows version is older than *nix version
Hi. I notice from http://rubyforge.org/projects/eventmachine/ that the Windows version (0.8.1) is months older than *nix version (0.10.0). Can you provide update for the Windows version? Regards, Ngoc.

Unfortunately there doesn''t seem to be anyone willing to do Win32 builds on a regular basis; getting the build environment set up is admittedly kinda painful. I did it to get myself a build of 0.9, but it''s lacking SSL support, since I don''t have OpenSSL installed on that box, since I didn''t have too much use for it. I also didn''t go through the whole test suite with it, because it worked fine enough when I did what I wanted with it. The 0.10 gem installs fine if VC++6 is installed. I know that doesn''t help most people. :-/ On Wed, Feb 20, 2008 at 7:00 AM, Dave Skidmore <dave.skidmore at gmail.com> wrote:> Unfortunately there doesn''t seem to be anyone willing to do Win32 builds on > a regular basis; getting the build environment set up is admittedly kinda > painful.
