Betternestedset talk - Jul 2007 - top down tree - any advice?

Slightly OT maybe, but I''d like to create a view of the tree in a top 
down fashion as opposed to just an indented list. Any advice, pointers, 
links, etc. would be appreciated.

Go have a look at the Pascal''s triangle ruby quiz.  Will give you some
ideas on how to do it on a console which you could then adapt for web
pages.
