-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 You may have heard that the CentOS Project was accepted to this year's Google Summer of Code. - From now through to 27 March is the time when students work with CentOS mentors on their applications. Are you a student? Do you know any who might be interested? Students with some experience in software development work on interesting projects and earn a nice stipend ($5000 for the summer). In fact, the goal of this program is to let students focus on working in an open source project as a full-time job for their summer break. You can see the ideas the Project have for students: http://wiki.centos.org/GSoC/2015/Ideas If you've got your own variation of an idea or a different idea you want to work on, you can bring those to the centos-devel at centos.org[1] list to discuss with mentors. Our goal is to help you write a proposal that has a chance of being accepted, then work with you throughout the summer as you learn how to contribute to an open source project. This is the process to get apply with the CentOS Project: http://wiki.centos.org/GSoC/HowToApply Here is the GSoC FAQ: http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/document/show/gsoc_program/google/gsoc2015/help_page Best regards, - - Karsten [1] http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos-devel - -- Karsten 'quaid' Wade .^\ CentOS Doer of Stuff http://TheOpenSourceWay.org \ http://community.redhat.com @quaid (identi.ca/twitter/IRC) \v' gpg: AD0E0C41 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iEYEARECAAYFAlUA038ACgkQ2ZIOBq0ODEEepgCfcU1TQjC2SmckcGHtFHTe7YVd 4d8An32qVwtf11kzVpVf3wsIKG3QX8YC =1ew0 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
