Hello, I am trying to get a "no-brand" (LMS DATA, model no LMSP1200RI) UPS to work with NUT. I now realise I should have checked compatibility with NUT before purchase. My other UPS (APC) works perfectly..... Anyway, I have spent a good day trying to get this thing working. #lsusb Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0001:0000 Fry's ElectronicsDevice Descriptor: bLength 18 bDescriptorType 1 bcdUSB 2.00 bDeviceClass 0 (Defined at Interface level) bDeviceSubClass 0 bDeviceProtocol 0 bMaxPacketSize0 8 idVendor 0x0001 Fry's Electronics idProduct 0x0000 bcdDevice 0.00 iManufacturer 1 ATCL FOR UPS iProduct 1 ATCL FOR UPS iSerial 1 ATCL FOR UPS bNumConfigurations 1 Configuration Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 2 wTotalLength 41 bNumInterfaces 1 bConfigurationValue 1 iConfiguration 0 bmAttributes 0xe0 Self Powered Remote Wakeup MaxPower 98mA Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber 0 bAlternateSetting 0 bNumEndpoints 2 bInterfaceClass 3 Human Interface Device bInterfaceSubClass 0 No Subclass bInterfaceProtocol 0 None iInterface 0 HID Device Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 33 bcdHID 1.11 bCountryCode 0 Not supported bNumDescriptors 1 bDescriptorType 34 Report wDescriptorLength 32 Report Descriptors: ** UNAVAILABLE ** Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x81 EP 1 IN bmAttributes 3 Transfer Type Interrupt Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0008 1x 8 bytes bInterval 10 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x02 EP 2 OUT bmAttributes 3 Transfer Type Interrupt Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0008 1x 8 bytes bInterval 10Device Status: 0x0000 (Bus Powered) Which doesnt give much useful information. I managed to get nut-scanner to work and got this output: [nutdev1] driver = "blazer_usb" port = "auto" vendorid = "0001" productid = "0000" product = "ATCL FOR UPS" serial = "ATCL FOR UPS" vendor = "ATCL FOR UPS" bus = "001" I am running Ubuntu 14.04 and using NUT version 2.73 installed from apt-get package. Please check your device availability with 'lsusb'and make sure you have an up-to-date version of NUT. If this does not help, try running the driver with at least 'subdriver', 'vendorid' and 'productid'options specified. Please refer to the man page for details about these options(man 8 blazer). Is there anything else I can try or just forget it? Cheers, James -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Try removing the 'product'/'serial'/'vendor'/'bus' lines from here:> [nutdev1] > driver = "blazer_usb" > port = "auto" > vendorid = "0001" > productid = "0000" > product = "ATCL FOR UPS" > serial = "ATCL FOR UPS" > vendor = "ATCL FOR UPS" > bus = "001"Then try again. (I'm not expecting it to work but.. who knows..)> Is there anything else I can try or just forget it?It could work with drivers 'nutdrv_atcl_usb' (available since NUT version 2.7.2) or with 'nutdrv_qx' (since 2.7.3).

Upgrading to 2.7.3 and using the nutdrv_qx driver and everything is talking now between 3 devices. I will need to test shutdown when I get home, but thanks for the excellent support.
