Is there a way to change InstantRails do a different port than 80? I tried changing the httpd.conf file''s listen port, but that didn''t work. -- Will -------- Will Shattuck ( willshattuck.at.gmail.com ) Home Page: http://www.thewholeclan.com/will My Calligraphy: http://www.thewholeclan.com/will/gallery3/calligraphy When you get to your wit''s end, you''ll find God lives there.
That''s what I get for being an apache newbie. I saw the LISTEN section, but skipped the PORT section. It''s all good now. Make sure you are opening the apache configuration file through the Instant Rails menu "Configure >> Apache". And then change both the "Listen 80" and "Port 80" directives to the port you want. When you save it, Instant Rails should automatically restart the apache server, but if you want to sure sure you can manually stop and then restart apache. As a test, I just ran through those steps myself, changing the port to 82, and it worked just fine for me.
