Awhile back, Anders Bengtsson sent a message saying that he was having a problem getting freeRIDE to run because he was getting errors such as "Failing to load: rubyide_fox_gui-appframe" Laurent replied and told him to check and make sure his fxscintilla installation was working correctly. Well, I''m getting the same errors Anders had, so I made sure fxruby was compiled with fxscintilla support and then I tested my fxscintilla setup by running scintilla-test.rb (in the examples directory of fxruby) which worked fine. So I think my fxruby and fxscintilla installations are just fine. I got my version of freeRIDE by downloading the source tarball. As far as I can tell, there isn''t really any configuration or make files that go along with it, so I''m running run.bat from my home directory where I downloaded freeRIDE. Below is my output from running run.bat: [peter@ulaneo-dynip141 freeride-0.6.0]$ sh run.bat Failing to load: rubyide_fox_gui-appframe Failing to load: rubyide_fox_gui-fox_services Failing to load: rubyide_fox_gui Failing to load: rubyide_tools_fox_source_browser Failing to load: rubyide_tools_fox_script_runner Failing to load: rubyide_tools_fox_file_browser Failing to load: rubyide_tools_fox_databus_inspector Failing to load: rubyide_tools_fox_debugger Failing to load: rubyide_fox_gui-toolbar Failing to load: rubyide_fox_gui Failing to load: rubyide_tools_fox_source_browser Failing to load: rubyide_tools_fox_script_runner Failing to load: rubyide_tools_fox_file_browser Failing to load: rubyide_tools_fox_databus_inspector Failing to load: rubyide_tools_fox_debugger ...and so on I''m using RedHat Linux 9. Below is some other relevant software that I have installed along with their versions: ruby-1.8.1 from sources fox-1.2.6 from sources rubygems-0.6.1 from sources fxscintilla-1.61 from sources fxruby-1.2.0 from sources freeride-0.6.0-1 from sources Thanks, Peter

FreeRIDE is (currently) based on the stable release of FOX and FXRuby (i.e. the 1.0.x versions). It looks like you''re running the 1.2.x versions, which aren''t backwards-compatible.
