I have used FreeRide for about the last week and would like to offer my [constructive!] critisim. I have offered to help with the documentation, so some of these comments may be addressed to/by me (in the near future). Apologies if any of these have been previoiusly discussed. HELP: 1. help needs help. Incomplete and too many links and broken = confusion! Should entirely seperate user and developer help and make help local with separate links for help/wiki/website & update checks. Use MS help (Html) system?? 2. Need a quick reference guide with shortcuts keystrokes, F-keys, and mouse usage. And/or need to make the existing summary more accessable 3. Fix or delete broken and redundant/uneccesarry links DEBUGGER: 4a. debugger help ["?"] crashes debug. sometime just running debug causes a crash. 4b. Debug crashing crashes entire Freeride session. Need some protection/isolation for Freeride base? 5a. should make set breakpoint something other than keystoke+mouse click. This is important to me as I have only one usable hand and can either press a key or click the mouse at any given time, but not both at once. (see 5b) 5b. activate right click context menu for debug functions (set/clr breakpoints (by linenumber, code elements 6. List and Manage all checkpoints and watchpoints does neither. Editor: 7. activate context menu for editor tabs (close tab, save file, run file, debug file, irb file, etc.) STARTUP: 8 Must we have a command window??? 9 Can I set MS intellimouse properties for freeride? If so,What exe file do I specify? Output window: 10. On my system output seems to go to the cmd window or nowhere at all, not to the output window, Maybe I''m missing something? EDITOR 11. activate right click for file tab functions (file close, run etc.) Chuck Brotman

I meant to say that clicking n the button for that function in the degugger has no noticable effect -- ie.Nothing happens Id also like to clarify the following>>9 Can I set MS intellimouse properties for freeride? If so,What exe file >>do I specify? The MS Intellimouse driver allows one to set program specific mose button definitions. Fr other pWindows programs I have used this to get around my physical limitations, by seting one of the mouse additional buttons to "shift", thus I can use mose button=shift followed my left click to accomplish th Shift-click combination. This would serve as a workaround, for me, until freeride has a right-click (or other ) solution available. My problem is in implementing these settinmgs. I don''t know what program to tell the MS Driver to use to receive the shift-click from the mouse. Do I specify CMD.exe? Ruby.exe? Rubyw.exe? or what Thanks again, Chuck "Laurent Julliard" <laurent@moldus.org> wrote in message news:42BFBD1F.9050403@moldus.org...> Chuck Brotman wrote: >> I have used FreeRide for about the last week and would like to offer my >> [constructive!] critisim. >> I have offered to help with the documentation, so some of these comments >> may be addressed to/by me (in the near future).
