https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/show_bug.cgi?id=853
Summary: mnl_socket_open() doc lists incorrect return type
Product: libmnl
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW

The documentation for the mnl_socket_open function states "On error, it

This is incorrect - it should state "On error, it returns NULL and errno is
appropriately set [...]".
