[iCalendar-devel] Timezones from Apple iCal not respected??
Jeff, Hi, I''m really enjoying using the icalendar library.. I''m working on a script that syncs Apple iCal to gCal (like everyone else these days!). At any rate, I notice that some of the timezone stuff comes out a bit odd. For my event like this: BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=US/Eastern:20061214T163000 LOCATION:Lazy Parrot\, Pantops DTEND;TZID=US/Eastern:20061214T173000 SUMMARY:Lazy Parrot redux? UID:2D46E92D-1C1D-4A05-B939-7F687FE43537 SEQUENCE:7 I expect the event to happen at 5:30 PM EST. However, when I parse through iCalendar I get: Lazy Parrot redux? at 2006-12-14T16:30:00Z Shouldn''t the event be at 21:30 GMT time? something like T21:30:00Z?? Or, alternatively, wouldn''t it be T16:30:00 -05:00 ??? Thanks for a great tool!, Eric Pugh ------------------------------------------------------- Principal OpenSource Connections Site: http://www.opensourceconnections.com Blog: http://blog.opensourceconnections.com Cell: 1-434-466-1467
