I've been trying to puzzle out why the USB stack hits a GPF during boot on 9-stable on one of my machines (which runs 9.2 just fine), and by trial and error I've found that it is actually caused by r254938, which is a mega-MFC of mps(4) driver changes, even though the fault always occurs at the same place in a harmless USB subroutine. Whichever heap allocation is being overrun does *not* ever get freed: there are no redzone messages on the console. (It also boots much faster with the new probing code, which is certainly a plus for debugging.) I can confirm that the tip of stable/9 (r261256) also works with DEBUG_REDZONE and fails without it. Only trouble is that I need to do performance testing, which DEBUG_REDZONE is not exactly going to help with. -GAWollman
