OK - All that happened here was a reboot of the server (verification of fstab mounts and other maint work). After the reboot, gluster deamon won't start. Nothing was changed on ports or anything. I have tried restarting the service manually too. Here is the output for the server logs: [2013-10-21 17:32:52.438493] I [glusterfsd.c:1670:main] 0-/usr/sbin/glusterd: Started running /usr/sbin/glusterd version 3.3.2 [2013-10-21 17:32:52.445035] I [glusterd.c:807:init] 0-management: Using /var/lib/glusterd as working directory [2013-10-21 17:32:52.446408] C [rdma.c:4102:gf_rdma_init] 0-rpc-transport/rdma: Failed to get IB devices [2013-10-21 17:32:52.446575] E [rdma.c:4993:init] 0-rdma.management: Failed to initialize IB Device [2013-10-21 17:32:52.446605] E [rpc-transport.c:316:rpc_transport_load] 0-rpc-transport: 'rdma' initialization failed [2013-10-21 17:32:52.446622] W [rpcsvc.c:1356:rpcsvc_transport_create] 0-rpc-service: cannot create listener, initing the transport failed [2013-10-21 17:32:52.446790] I [glusterd.c:95:glusterd_uuid_init] 0-glusterd: retrieved UUID: 5aab206b-f631-498c-b263-8b141e54c311 [2013-10-21 17:32:53.658911] E [glusterd-store.c:1321:glusterd_store_handle_retrieve] 0-glusterd: Unable to retrieve store handle for /var/lib/glusterd/vols/support/info, error: No such file or directory [2013-10-21 17:32:53.658984] E [glusterd-store.c:2185:glusterd_store_retrieve_volumes] 0-: Unable to restore volume: support [2013-10-21 17:32:53.659026] E [xlator.c:385:xlator_init] 0-management: Initialization of volume 'management' failed, review your volfile again [2013-10-21 17:32:53.659046] E [graph.c:291:glusterfs_graph_init] 0-management: initializing translator failed [2013-10-21 17:32:53.659062] E [graph.c:478:glusterfs_graph_activate] 0-graph: init failed [2013-10-21 17:32:53.659473] W [glusterfsd.c:838:cleanup_and_exit] (-->/usr/sbin/glusterd(main+0x344) [0x7f9ffc7db464] (-->/usr/sbin/glusterd(glusterfs_volumes_init+0x1a1) [0x7f9ffc7de5b1] (-->/usr/sbin/glusterd(glusterfs_process_volfp+0x192) [0x7f9ffc7de402]))) 0-: received signum (0), shutting down -- Brian Silverwood Systems Administrator Viddler | Viddler.com <http://www.viddler.com> | 215-962-5829 Subscribe to the Viddler blog <http://blog.viddler.com> -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [Gluster-users] Gluster service not starting after reboot
Looks like your vols tree is out of sync. rsync /var/lib/glusterd/vols from another server.
