Daniel said it would be easy, but I tried for a couple of hours and 
finally gave up.  Patches that permitted fontconfig to build against

I don''t know how much work it would be using libxml2 instead of expat.
I am just
trying to build gnome2 and it getting bigger and bigger and I have more and more
components with the same functionality to install. Finaly it seems that I am
even running out of diskspace :-(.
