Hi! I''ve a problem getting a route with the ip command. When i try the command ip route get <ip> which should show me the route to the target <ip>, i only get the message: Truncated message The problem appears with any of my network devices, which are a ISDN card ippp0 to connect to the internet a Ethernet card eth0 to connect to a private network 192.168.0.0 and the problem also appears at the loopback-device if i try to get a route to 127.0.0.1 I''ve nowhere found an explanation of this message, so i''ve absolutly no plan what the problem is. Would be nice if anyone colud help me. Thanks! Martin

Thanks!Which version if iproute do you run? Do you have ''route information socket'' (or something like that) enabled in your kernel? Hello Iam a small isp using wipl for bandwidth ,mac address,ip bytes send, bytes recieve information. iam just monitoring the single Lan card(eth0) . It is working good with single network I have the ip''s connected are 172.16.1.0 etc ,184.184.1.0 etc for monitoring multiple networks we are facing the problem. For example if we want to monitor the ip 172.16.1.10 continously we cannot find the ip constanly . Even if i download something from 172.16.1.10 the ip doesn''t appear in the list what is the option i have to try with wiplcSimple or in wiplc Regards Vanitha _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
