LARTC - Mar 2004 - arp src ip trouble

Hi

I have some troubles with linux src ip selection algoritm
for arp request
My scheme is

  Server
  IP1 (service)
  IP2 (one of vlan) <----------------> Network Net with
                                       address IP3


IP4 - client for service

Client open tcp connection and transfer data
Client IP4 routed to IP3
Due arp cache timeout IP3 cleared from cache and linux send
arp ask to network Net for address IP3
BUT linux send this ask with source ip - IP1, not IP2 and
doesn''t got any answer from cisco equipment
If I make ping from IP2 to IP3, linux got answer and
anything work ok (to next cache clear)

Could I change src selection algoritm (or may be patches)

I have linux kernel version 2.4.26-pre2 but I got the same
result with early versions of linux kernel

	In 2.4.26-pre2 you can try changing 
/proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/DEV/arp_announce to 1 or 2.
