Hello, I have a multi ISP setup with 3 providers, but there is something funny happening with only 1 of the 3 providers i have no issues at all with 2 or the 3 providers i start having issues regarding connections they seem to jump from one to the other for example: with skype i get cutoff during calls or if some one sends a message he recives a notification that the message culd not be sent. with web browsing on a https page i put login and passwd and on the next request i get asked to imput again my login and passwd i have set up on the providers file track, balance on the 3 providers but it still happends im using shorewall version 4.4.4 from the rpm I also created a script to monitor the wan interfaces to see if i loose any of the providers please tell me where can i uploaded to share with the community its called wanitor. Kernel 2.6.22.19 Wanitor is similar to LSM with the exeption that if you have multiple isp it will not monitor the gateway only but it will also make a route to the internet to scecified ip tru the interface you are testing because we have noticed that your initial gw might be alive but there is no actual internet connection Fernando Rodriguez frod@aitelecom.net On Dec 15, 2009, at 11:15 AM, Tom Eastep wrote:> Fernando Rodriguez wrote: >> Hello, >> >> I have a multi ISP setup with 3 providers, but there is something >> funny happening with only 1 of the 3 providers i have no issues at >> all with 2 or the 3 providers i start having issues regarding >> connections they seem to jump from one to the other for example: >> >> with skype i get cutoff during calls or if some one sends a message >> he recives a notification that the message culd not be sent. with web >> browsing on a https page i put login and passwd and on the next >> request i get asked to imput again my login and passwd >> >> i have set up on the providers file track, balance on the 3 providers >> but it still happends im using shorewall version 4.4.4 from the rpm >> > > Which kernel version? > >> I also created a script to monitor the wan interfaces to see if i >> loose any of the providers please tell me where can i uploaded to >> share with the community its called wanitor. > > What features does Wanitor provide that LSM does not? > > -Tom > -- > Tom Eastep \ When I die, I want to go like my Grandfather who > Shoreline, \ died peacefully in his sleep.
