hi,
i see as macro.Web is deprecated, but IMHO it''s a good macro
it''s clear
and makes the rules file shorter and more readable.
at the same time i also suggest another aggregated macro for sending
mail which is smtp, smtps and submission. as more people start to use
gamil which use smtps for outlook express and submission for
thunderbird, it''s getting more and more used.
so i propose this marco for addition to shorewall.
yours.
#
# Shorewall version 4 - Mail Macro
#
# /usr/share/shorewall/macro.Mail
#
# This macro handles SMTP (email secure and insecure) traffic.
# It''s the aggregate of macro.SMTP, macro.SMTPS, macro.Submission.
#
# Note: This macro handles traffic between an MUA (Email client)
# and an MTA (mail server) or between MTAs. It does not enable
# reading of email via POP3 or IMAP. For those you need to use
# the POP3 or IMAP macros.
