A few of you may have seen the recent blogstorm about trademarks
surrounding "Rails", "Ruby on Rails", and the rails logo.
[1]
http://www.rubyinside.com/david-heinemeier-hansson-says-no-to-use-of-rails-logo-567.html
[2]
http://rethink.unspace.ca/2007/7/23/beginning-rails-from-novice-to-professional
Since those are owned by DHH, could we have an ''official''
document
regarding acceptable usage? Something along the lines of
http://www.apple.com/legal/trademark/guidelinesfor3rdparties.html
There are many sites out there using the trademarked phrases and logo,
so it would be useful to know what usages are OK in a canonical
document.
Courtenay
(oh man, I''m so stupid, I originally sent this to the old core list
instead of the new one.. d''oh!)
