Hi, I am using this script: http://www.jamesstarmer.com/2007/07/11/ajax-tabs-using-prototypejs/ If you go to the example you will see: http://jamesstarmer.com/prototabs/ The tabs can use Ajax or not (I am using Ajax for all tabs). Now, the problem I have... I am loading a tab using Ajax...ok...inside what''s loaded I want to load another page using Ajax too (like you find on www.netvibes.com or www.pageflakes.com) I am using Prototype as Ajax framework... If you look in the source code of Prototabs you see this: ----------------------- <script> Event.observe(window,''load'',function(){ var tabSet1 = new ProtoTabs(''tabSet1'',{defaultPanel:''acapulco'', ajaxUrls: { cancun:''ajax.php?var=how'', cabo:''ajax.php?var=you'' } }); }); </script> --------------------- So when I click on Cancun tab (<li><a href="#cancun"><span>cancun</ span></a></li>) Ajax will oload a page in this DIV: ----------- <div id="cancun" class="panel"> </div> ---------- And INSIDE of the page which loads in the DIV above I have another DIV in which i want to load another page automatically (not when i click on a link)... Any idea how to do this? Does it need another Event.observe inside the page which loads first time in the DIV "cancun"? Do I need to use "eval" in the first Ajax call so the javascript inside that page will be executed? Any examples? Re: Event.observe in combination with this script (Prototabs)
Mircea, Any <script>javascript code, event listeners, etc...</script> that you put in the newly rendered page should work. So you can put the same ajax style requests in the newly rendered page for the new div.
