Rails spinoffs - Feb 2007 - detecting "was dropped anywhere out of the ../div"

Hi,

I''ve built an interface where people store images temporarily in a
cart (a rectangular div).
I''d like to let them remove images from the cart just by dragging them
out of the box (like with the MacOS Doc).

Q: If I make each image draggable (and optionally the div droppable),
how can I detect that an image has been dropped out of the div?

Can Scriptaculous help in this case, or is pure and hand-made
javascript the only solution?
