Two (minor) issues: If a request for a list of auto-completion suggestions returns an error page (e.g. 404 or 500), this error page is shown inline where the suggestions should have appeared! May be better to not show anything in this case? (Alternatively, you could allow a warning icon to be set, similar to the "indicator".) If a request for a list of auto-completion suggestions returns an empty page, the indicator icon remains active!
