Hello to all. I''m using shorewall 3 and I want to priorize skype traffic at port 11728. My question is: what is the "BEST" way to priorize skype traffic over all other protocols? It''s using TOS? Using traffic shapping? What is yours suggestion? Ps. Skype is running on my local network (loc) Very thanks for your help and patience. Further, it doesn''t take that much bandwidth when in a call. Unless you are dial-up, I doubt you will see any improvement. If you want to forward a specific port to a specific machine (totally un-necessary mind you) that is easily done with a simple nat rule. It might allow your machine to server other skype users, but it won''t help you at all. -- ______________________________________ John Andersen NORCOM / Juneau, Alaska http://www.screenio.com/ (907) 790-3386 . ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the JBoss Inc. The only way is to use traffic shaping. -Jason Martin -- Death is life''s way of telling you you''ve been fired. This message is PGP/MIME signed.
