Puppet users - Aug 2010 - puppet (puppet apply) and reporting and fact sync

If I run in the disconnected mode using ''puppet'' or
''puppet apply'', is
it possible to still have reports and facts synced to a central server? 
I''ve tried and it doesn''t appear to be so, but I thought I
would ask to
make sure.
