[Puppet Users] (* Checking puppet managed servers for success *)
Is there any centralized way to look at the puppetmaster server and see (a) when did we last hear from each puppet managed machine and (b) were there any errors (out on the managed machine) in the run? Look at The Foreman or Puppet Dashboard http://theforeman.org/ http://reductivelabs.com/2009/12/14/a-tour-of-puppet-dashboard-0-1-0/ On Mar 12, 2010, at 8:58 AM, Ed Greenberg wrote:> Is there any centralized way to look at the puppetmaster server and see (a) when did we last hear from each puppet managed machine and (b) were there any errors (out on the managed machine) in the run? > > Thanks, > </edg> > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. > To post to this group, send email to puppet-users@googlegroups.com. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to puppet-users+unsubscribe@googlegroups.com. > For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/puppet-users?hl=en. >-- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. If you want a command line version - in the ext directory of the package is a script called puppetlast that will return this on the command line and could be integrated into Nagios etc. Regards James Turnbull - -- Author of: * Pro Linux System Administration (http://tinyurl.com/linuxadmin) * Pulling Strings with Puppet (http://tinyurl.com/pupbook) * Pro Nagios 2.0 (http://tinyurl.com/pronagios) * Hardening Linux (http://tinyurl.com/hardeninglinux) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQEVAwUBS5qoMyFa/lDkFHAyAQJ1NAf+MBWbAqHCfOEC0OrzSrGgsmti7WwHwypM lfCjms8r9vW5zoDin0BXNkkxVoXtuLQXjchOIO6/r1KVTmShbP6N73i4T1LGR9sF zMLatHZoV02DJILd+5r2zmDwOdMDw7/obdXpe4MBpfwHNAx7kTxSy2GLzN/6jBIX T6vTLGd52w+uqUlmjVC7ZViMVnn/9DaP2/DeS0UV///gvdQDYekSofD/TtbQN4bI vS8uBGEKub6gvbuXaC/jKAr8JvT7lCeUmqGu1KcWUXtfIEtvwwnLIqEXwmd+5yd8 +eBkEfxM6gynveiRIM1fV9lqDE2pSasnUOkgRjmX99K8mHq+xQSG3A==Gflj -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
