I suppose that''s true.  Though I have to say some of the patterns that
developed in the PuppetCommon modules seemed bad, to me.  I guess the issue
really becomes when patterns are developed by people first exploring Puppet as
opposed to people that have done it a while.  But certainly, I think
institutions tend to develop their own patterns.  Stanford was glad to share
what our collective wisdom was with the Best Practices and Style Guide but I
think it might be time for us to pull our work back in-house so can we preserve
these documents since they are still very much part of what our team uses.
