-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello all, I''m using Puppet (both server and clients on 0.24.5 version under Debian Lenny) for managing 10 servers, and I would like to set up reporting so that any problem that might happen applying the configs, the puppetmaster would send me an email. I''ve already set up the pre-commit and post-commit hooks on the puppetmaster config SVN repo, so I can update puppetmaster''s recipe list automatically, and I tried with the tagmail ''err'' tag, but it doesn''t work. When I switch to ''all'' tag, I get a ton of messages, but the ''err'' tag don''t send me anything, I suspect that this feature was eliminated somewhere between 2007 and today, because I''ve read a message on this group from Luke on 2007 that recommended using this tag. Can anyone tell me how to do this nowadays? I think this is fixed in 0.24.6, at least that is when it started e-mailing me error''s. I had actually forgotten I tried setting this up and it took me a few minutes to realized why I was suddenly getting these e-mails. --dn On Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 4:01 AM, Lucas Di Pentima <lucas@di-pentima.com.ar>wrote:> > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Hello all, > > I''m using Puppet (both server and clients on 0.24.5 version under Debian > Lenny) for managing 10 servers, and I would like to set up reporting so > that any problem that might happen applying the configs, the > puppetmaster would send me an email. > > I''ve already set up the pre-commit and post-commit hooks on the > puppetmaster config SVN repo, so I can update puppetmaster''s recipe list > automatically, and I tried with the tagmail ''err'' tag, but it doesn''t work. > > When I switch to ''all'' tag, I get a ton of messages, but the ''err'' tag > don''t send me anything, I suspect that this feature was eliminated > somewhere between 2007 and today, because I''ve read a message on this > group from Luke on 2007 that recommended using this tag. > > Can anyone tell me how to do this nowadays? > > Thanks in advance > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.4.8 (Darwin) > Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org > > iEYEARECAAYFAkl4YAsACgkQj5g/z2qlT8mvmQCeKYppQ6Ilf66PZB4q/4/NOh0f > YCAAn2cRLPPajAy2uHF9b/JIUgNkQQ1U > =MMKR > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- > > > >-- --dn http://www.cordump.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. Does anyone have puppet 0.24.6 running on Debian Lenny? My actual solution was to send me all emails and filter them on the email client, hehe...not a very good solution, but easy to implement (as long as I have few hosts) [0] http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/show/1089 Best regards Lucas. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.8 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkl5vnYACgkQj5g/z2qlT8mDkQCgxBNgHGPNqDroQfbl61ZnCGq9 bp8An2h8EJHKfhmiKWVSgs0qtAi8AWVU =hROk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
