Puppeteers, It is not too early to vote on where the next training should be. Final arrangements will be based on interest. Where would people like to see the next training? I think we want to target the Fall, maybe mid-Septemberish? Of course, overwhelming interest could move that forward. All the arrangements are in place to have the training in Portland OR, June 2-6. I added the event to upcoming.org. http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/559107/ I''m excited to meet people from the community and I''m hoping to learn a lot more about how Puppet actually gets used in the wild. Cheers, Andrew --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. Sure, lot''s of thoughts. . . but it won''t happen until the training materials are more developed and we find the time to make them available in some reasonable way online. I think he means perhaps like some kind of video conferencing/irc thing? I definitely can''t fly anywhere within the next year, but I could absolutely get my boss to pay for me to attend some kind of remote internet based puppet training. This first training is obviously prompting the creation of the materials, but there''ll still be some iteration to them, and we''ll still need to record them. It''s good to know there''s demand, though; if others are interested in video training, as opposed to flying somewhere, it''s probably worth sending a note to training@reductivelabs.com so we know how much interest there really is. -- It''s not that I''m afraid to die. How about doing something at LISA 2008. I know there''s always lots of debate there about puppet/cfengine etc. i think it would be the first configuration management training done there - and I remember from 2 years ago that one of the problems is actually getting started with configuration management tools. It''s certainly not worth much for the trainer, but it might get more people into the tool, anyway. -- Calamities are of two kinds: misfortunes to ourselves, and good fortune to others. -- Ambrose Bierce --------------------------------------------------------------------- Luke Kanies | http://reductivelabs.com | http://madstop.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
