Puppet users - Apr 2008 - Need more info on #1178: Inconsistent node names

I''m looking at #1178, where the node and fact caches are stored under  
different names, and I can''t see how it would happen, nor can I  
reproduce it.

Can someone who is experiencing this problem ping me on IRC?  I''d like
more info on your setup and how it''s failing for you.
