Sun, sand and Lustre! To celebrate one of Lustre?s biggest years ? multiple new Lustre installations and now clocking at over 1TB/sec ? LUG ''13 will take place in San Diego this year at the Omni Hotel in the Downtown Gaslamp Quarter. Sessions will be held from April 16-18. We hope you?ll join us! Registration is now open. Our call for presentations is online and there are many sponsorship opportunities (see details below). Be sure to register by March 15, 2013, to take advantage of our early bird registration discount rate of $525. Registration closes on Friday March 22, 2013. We?ve got a slick, easy interface this year that includes the full agenda, hotel information and a lot more: https://www.gaveledge.com/SFS1301/home Second, LUG is always about a real exchange of ideas. The LUG program committee would like to invite members of the Lustre community to submit presentation abstracts for inclusion in this year''s agenda. If you?ve considered it before, but put it off, we want to hear from you. We?ve made it easy; the first step simply requires one-page abstract of your proposed talk. We?re looking for deep-dives, new information, and controversial topics in all areas of Lustre development, application, or best-practices. The deadline to submit presentation abstracts is March 4, 2013. Please submit your proposal through Easy Chair here: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=lug2013 Finally, this is ultimately a community effort. Lustre is open source to its core. If your organization is interested in sponsoring LUG, we''ve got multiple ways to commit, one that will be perfect for your budget. If you?re into Lustre, there?s no better visibility than being at LUG: https://www.gaveledge.com/SFS1301/sponsorships A special thanks to our sponsors already on-board: Intel and Xyratex. We welcome additional sponsors and we appreciate your support. We''re really looking forward to an interesting and exciting program for this year''s meeting in San Diego! If you have questions or problems, feel free to mail Stephen Simms (ssimms at iu.edu), LUG 2013 program chair.
