theora dev - Jul 2007 - How to test the theora codec

hi all,

i got install the theora codec successfully, so now i want to test my
installation, so that...

do i need to have a video file that has the extension of .ogg ??
does it support for any player, because i am using the movie player that is
the default player with ubuntu.

Yes, theora video files generally have the extension .ogg or .ogv.

Movie Player on Ubuntu should have support by default.
