Fedora directory users - Jul 2009 - [389-users] cache settings

Hi All

I''m looking for some clarification (best practices) on setting cache  
sizes for Fedora DS. What is the difference between the maximum cache  
size under LDBM Plug-in settings tab and the cache size under  
individual backends'' Database Settings tab?

http://directory.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Performance_Tuning gives some  
reference to disk cache and memory cache differences but I''ve been  
unable to find further references.

This applies to the index files.

This applies to the Entry cache for that backend.

cache usage, go to

and search for "cache", cn=database, and
