I have recently updated my lustre file system from 1.8.1.1 to 1.8.6.80-wc1. The upgrade went pretty well although I did have to use tunefs.lustre to do a writeconf on mdt and OST''s. I have two OSS servers which each have two OST''s each (Four OST''s in total). One of the OSS''s can mount all of the OST''s without any issue. However the other OSS can only mount three of them, when I try and mount the fourth OST I get the following message: mount.lustre: mount /dev/md5 at /mnt/ost0002 failed: Cannot assign requested address In /var/log/messages I see: Lustre: MGC192.168.13.100 at o2ib: Reactivating import LustreError: 5429:0:(obd_mount.c:1112:server_start_targets()) Required registration failed for lustre-OST0002: -99 LustreError: 5429:0:(obd_mount.c:1670:server_fill_super()) Unable to start targets: -99 LustreError: 5429:0:(obd_mount.c:1453:server_put_super()) no obd lustre-OST0002 LustreError: 5429:0:(obd_mount.c:147:server_deregister_mount()) lustre-OST0002 not registered Lustre: server umount lustre-OST0002 complete LustreError: 5429:0:(obd_mount.c:2065:lustre_fill_super()) Unable to mount (-99) Any help or advise would be greatly I appreciated, I have tested the communication between all the servers via lctl ping and everything seems ok.
