[Lustre-discuss] CRC32C not usable for ISCSI in IB RPM
I am trying to update to the latest Lustre packages. We have an iSCSI backend and when I install kernel-ib and try to log into my devices I get an error about CRC32C being unavailable. I have this in the boot messages: alg: No test for crc32c (crc32c-generic) Then, when I try to log into an iscsi device I get this: connection1:0: Could not create connection due to crc32c loading error. Make sure the crc32c module is built as a module or into the kernel Has anyone else had this problem or know how to get crc32c working? Thanks, Dan Kulinski -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.lustre.org/pipermail/lustre-discuss/attachments/20090831/e22a10b9/attachment.html

[Lustre-discuss] CRC32C not usable for ISCSI in IB RPM
I have successfully used Lustre with iSCSI, however never by using together with IB. jab ________________________________ From: lustre-discuss-bounces at lists.lustre.org [mailto:lustre-discuss-bounces at lists.lustre.org] On Behalf Of Daniel Kulinski Sent: Monday, August 31, 2009 10:57 AM To: lustre-discuss at lists.lustre.org Subject: [Lustre-discuss] CRC32C not usable for ISCSI in IB RPM I am trying to update to the latest Lustre packages. But this is not the first report of this crc32c problem. On last report I checked our .config and we do have it enabled in the kernel. Can you check if the Lustre kernel you installed has a crc32c.ko module? If so, if you do "insmod /lib/modules/$kernver/.../crc32c.ko, does it load? If you get an error, please paste check dmesg and see if any errors were reported as a result of trying to load it. If so, please paste them here. Or better yet, open a bug about all of this. b. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
