Is the cache patch for mv_sata noted in the sun paper on the x4500 available? Or has it been rolled into the source distributed by sun? Trying to avoid data loss. Brock Palen www.umich.edu/~brockp Center for Advanced Computing brockp at umich.edu (734)936-1985

I just realized that I may not have answered your question, and I''m not sure if the patch is in the source posted at sun.com or not. If not, it is in the bug as an attachment - https://bugzilla.lustre.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14040 -frank On Aug 13, 2008, at 1:07 PM, Frank Leers wrote:> On Aug 13, 2008, at 12:38 PM, Brock Palen wrote: > >> Is the cache patch for mv_sata noted in the sun paper on the x4500 >> available? Yes the patch in bugzilla is what I wanted. I don''t know if there is a way to push this into the source on suns website. It could be a switch in there build script, which is just a #ifdef in the source. Shouldn''t be to hard. I get occasional updates on it, but haven''t saved them so I can''t give you the number.> Thanks Frank > > Brock Palen > www.umich.edu/~brockp > Center for Advanced Computing > brockp at umich.edu > (734)936-1985 > > > > On Aug 13, 2008, at 4:33 PM, Frank Leers wrote: > > I just realized that I may not have answered your question, and I''m > > not sure if the patch is in the source posted at sun.com or not. > > > > If not, it is in the bug as an attachment - > > https://bugzilla.lustre.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14040 > > > > -frank > > > > On Aug 13, 2008, at 1:07 PM, Frank Leers wrote: > > > >> On Aug 13, 2008, at 12:38 PM, Brock Palen wrote: > >> > >>> Is the cache patch for mv_sata noted in the sun paper on the x4500 > >>> available?
