We''re playing with lustre 1.5.91 on Ubuntu Dapper, with gcc-3.4 built
2.6.15-ubuntu kernel using jrd''s vanilla 2.6.15 patchset.
On the OST''s we''re seeing this once in a while:

[ 3666.012907] LDISKFS-fs: and someone won our chunk
[ 3666.522792] LDISKFS-fs: and someone won our chunk
It''s not very informative, and stuff seems to still work...

after all

FWIW, I haven''t seen that particular message. I do have a set of
patches
which are somewhat more refined than what I posted last time, but the changes
are mostly around removing some over-agressive checking, which was causing
spurious debug messages about intent structs not being initialized. I
wouldn''t expect that stuff to have the effect you describe.
If you discover that the stuff I posted isn''t right, please let me
know, as
I''d like to keep it up to date until such time as it''s no
longer necessary.
