Dear all, I need some help here - I am using Lustre 1.4.6.2 on RHEL4 for the MDS/OSS and RHEL3.5 on the clients. I built the MDS for my FS using a using the default parameters and I thought I would have enough inodes. However now I see that I have one per block of 4096 bytes on disk. This is probably not going to be enough as my users are creating a mix of large and small files. My question is : Can I either Increase the number of inodes in my MDS partition ? Or backup the MDS with dump and restore to a larger one ? I am worried that because ldiskfs uses extents that this is not handled correctly by dump/restore. I am currently taking a dd image of my MDS partition for disaster recovery, although I would like to start taking FS dumps if I know I can rely on them. Thanks for that, I was looking in the wiki and the manuals but there is nothing there...
