I''ve been experimenting with the lustre client on a non-x86 machine. It mostly seems to work, which is good :-} But I also see some evidence of network communication problems, which is bad :-{ Has anyone written an ethereal plugin for lustre socknal? I looked through the mail archives, and didn''t see evidence of one, but figured I should ask before launching into writing one. IWBNI I had something to use to diagnose this in addition to looking at logs. TIA....
Hi, What architecture is this? We run on PPC, i386, ia64 and x86_64 routinely. To test networking, you might want to start with "lctl ping", see the Lustre manual. We have an old version of tcpdump for Lustre, almost certainly out of date, but probably in a minor way. I''ve uploaded it on ftp://ftp.lustre.org/pub/lustre/other/. - Peter - > -----Original Message----- > From: lustre-discuss-bounces@clusterfs.com > [mailto:lustre-discuss-bounces@clusterfs.com] On Behalf Of > jrd@jrd.org > Sent: Monday, August 21, 2006 8:57 AM > To: lustre-discuss@clusterfs.com > Subject: [Lustre-discuss] ethereal? > > I''ve been experimenting with the lustre client on a non-x86 > machine. There is still ftp://ftp.lustre.org/pub/lustre/other/tcpdump-lustre.tgz that could be used as a starting point if you are interested. Yup, that looks like there''s something there I can use, at least to mine for ideas. Thanx.
