Lustre discuss - May 2006 - Client access block device bypassing the OST

Hi,

If I use a SAN, volumes are available in the /dev directory of each
nodes (both the client and the OST have access to the /dev volumes).  Is
it possible for a client node to access directly the block device
bypassing the OST? 

I use Lustre 1.2.4.
