There is usually a line or two that needs to be changed for a clean non-uml compile, but everything works after linking. Matt

I know that some other members of the list are running vanilla non-UML kernels with success -- does anyone care to comment? Hello, i''ve look in the "which_patch" file, there''s only one interesting kernel for me, the vanilla-2.4.20 but it run in UML. Is possible to do a test with a 2.4.20 (or more) but not on UML (in native mode x86) ? Is it possible to know exactly the requested patches on the kernel for Lustre ? I''d like to work on a "simple" kernel (so vanilla is good), but not on a kernel from pnnl, HP or others (sorry for PNNL and HP, they''re doing very good jobs). Thank you. ###################################################################### Jean-Christophe Penalva
