Lustre discuss - May 2006 - size of mds vs ost

Hi Nicholas,

We will gradually answer all your questions.  

- MDS: typically 5% of the total space of plenty give the rest to
OST''s, but it depends on the size of your files.

Multiple MDS''s in clusters come early 2004, failover MDS''s can
be set
up now.

but it didn''t seem to go through.

	First off -- nice work! I have spent the last day porting to use the
rh-2.4.20-20.7 kernel, and playing with the test loopback configuration.
Please give my regards to the quilt authors, that is one slick piece of
software. Would any of you be interested in the updated patches & series

	I am going to be setting up lustre on my development cluster,
