Landed on HEAD.  I''m leaving this open since it likely needs to land on
b_release_1_6_0 and b1_4.

Bob, regarding your question, everything _looks_ fine but we have not tested (or
even built) the updated kernel yet.  I''m going to start that now and
will update
this bug when I have results.  A successful run is necessary before we land to
the other branches.

Passed testing; landed on b1_4 and b_release_1_6_0.

Bob, the new SLES 10 kernel has now been tested - no changes other than this
patch (and .config updates) were required.
