Here''s an update on the current status of the wide striping evaluations
I am doing (using sgpdd-survey and obdfilter-survey).

sgpdd-survey of Sun Thumper:

 - Complete, posted to lustre-discuss.

obdfilter-survey of Sun Thumper:

 - I encountered many slow IO problems.  Alex is investigating and
   furthur surveys are on hold until he can do so.

sgpdd-survey of DDN S2A 9500:

 - Preliminary results have been posted to lustre-discuss.  I will be meeting
with DDN and Cray on Friday to discuss additional tuning that will hopefully
resolve any remaining performance problems.

obdfilter-survey of DDN S2A 9500:

 - Not started yet.  Waiting for satisfactory sgpdd-survey results.
