Hi, I installed Instiki 0.17 on Dreamhost with Passenger following the instructions at http://www.instiki.org/show/InstikiOnDreamhost. According to http://www.instiki.org/show/FAQ, I can rename a page and still keep all of the links from other pages that might reference it. How do I do this? Also, clicking "All Pages" on my wiki home page gives the error message "Internal Error An application error occurred while processing your request." What could be the problem? Thanks, Steven -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://rubyforge.org/pipermail/instiki-users/attachments/20100712/394209a4/attachment.html>

The only way I can tell to delete at all is to delete all orphan pages in the administrator setup. Also, is there a way to get templates like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_Country?

Does Instiki allow one to create such a sidebar easily?

You can already transclude pages into others, in Instiki, using the [[!include ...]] syntax. You cannot, however, pass parameters to the transcluded page. It would not be impossible to add a parameter-passing mechanism. I''d have to think whether the added complexity would really be worth the benefit. I''d have to think whether the added complexity would really be worth the benefit.Sounds good. Is it possible to have pages being linked to without using wiki words not be considered orphaned? For example, page 1 (in Markdown): I like [cake](Pastries) Howver the Pastries page is considered orphaned because no page links to it using [[Pastries]]. Is there a way to get Instiki to realize that Pastries is not orphaned because page 1 links to it?

hello there. yes, i definitely will update the rubyforge page. can do it tomorrow. and jacques: you should have administrative access, at least i put you in the admin list a while ago. for all the instiki documentation i would suggest bringing the docs up-to date and start removing all the bogus and old entries. i think i could start on the weekend to go through the existing pages on instiki.org and move them to a new, blank installation on docs.instiki.org regarding the mediawiki compatibility: since this was already asked by several people, i think it might be good that we have mediawiki compatibility. there is also a mediawiki importer/exporter out there (i heard of this quite a while ago, so maybe its not really available or compatible anymore). anyway we should definitely think of compatibility and also import/export issues. regards, matthias On 14.07.2010, at 18:40, Jacques Distler wrote:> > On Jul 14, 2010, at 11:24 AM, Steven wrote: > >>> So where DID you get it? >> http://rubyforge.org/projects/instiki/ > > Ah.
