I don''t think that is the (entirety of the) problem.  IIRC it was
trying to
mount lustre itself (which is what it should do) on /mnt, even on boulder where
/ is RO and therefore it fails.  On boulder it should be mounted on /tmp/mnt,
and we export a variable in ltest to tell not_mounted tests that.  This test
needs to look for and honour that variable.
