[Ovirt-devel] Issues with oVirt installation
Hi all, I'm working on a project where we try to find a good VM manager. oVirt seems pretty cool but I have some issues with it: My IP addresses are of course not the right one so I had to change all the scripts to match with them :/ I changed the script also for the directory server (reflecting the project name instead of PRIV.OVIRT.ORG). Kind of hard too... Now it seems to work, the management node ("physical") is seen on the dashboard but: It's always unavailable (no idea why, nothing written in the log/somewhere for that, did like in the installation manual) It's hypervisor type is not seen (perhaps that's why it's unavailable. For the record, if I do collectd -f, I have a error about getting vcpu by libvirt). The hypervisor OS is FC10 up to date, ovirt-appliance is also up to date. I then decided to boot a node via PXE to have one who should work "out of the box". First issue, during the kickstart, anaconda try to search things inside 127.0.0.1 instead of the good IP address (no big deal it's true). Second issue, I'm on a company network with a proxy, so How can I download the things, regarding that the installer is not able to deal with proxy? Or is it possible to find the kickstart file somewhere, to use it with a FC10 DVD install? I would really love to test oVirt but it's still in Demo mode I think.
