[Masterview-devel] Do we have a way to enable masterview admin pages on remote server?
Deb, Do we have a way to enable masterview admin pages on remote server? I was wanting to test out on the new server masterview admin pages, however since I wasn''t hitting things locally I couldn''t get to them. And since I was running off the gem, there wasn''t a way to edit the controller. So I am thinking we need a configuration option to be able to enable masterview admin pages that are not localhost. I know you were thinking about the bigger picture of ACL''s too, so I wanted to get your thoughts on how we should approach. Thanks, Jeff

yes, agree that we need to redo the allow_access? predicate in the admin contoller in a way that''s configurable (vs. current hardwired restriction to local requester). Authentication and access are back on top of my queue for my own sites now that our directives rework is settling, so this notion fits in with stuff I''m looking at anyway. I''m in working on the admin pages now for hooking up directives info, I''ll see what I can do tomorrow to refactor that logic in a way that allows it to be configurable. ~ Deb -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Barczewski [mailto:jeff.barczewski at gmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 20, 2006 8:07 AM To: masterview-devel at rubyforge.org; djlewis at acm.org Subject: Do we have a way to enable masterview admin pages on remote server?
